A weekly series where we teach you how to up your cocktail know-how and not embarrass yourself at your next hostess gig.
Even though Spring hasn’t officially sprung yet, our minds are already there: time to banish sweaters in favor of maxi dresses, and swap those hot toddys with something light, refreshing, and sophisticated. Enter your springtime staple: the Lavender Vodka Sipper. See how it’s made below, and get ready to sip (or guzzle, this is a judgement-free zone) in style.
Lavender Vodka Sipper
1 ½ oz of your vodka of choice
¾ oz lavender syrup (we like Monin Lavender Syrup)
¼ oz Chambord (raspberry liquor) OR Crème de Violette, if you feelin’ fresh.
¾ oz fresh lemon juice
Seltzer or soda water
lavender sprig and lemon wedge for garnish
Add the vodka, lavender syrup, Chambord or Crème de Violette, and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake, then strain into a glass. Top off with the soda water.
